Job summary

NOOTER is seeking a Field Project Engineer to provide technical and project coordination support for industrial construction projects across field and office settings.

You will review engineering drawings, specs, submittals, and project documentation while coordinating with project managers, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to keep work on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in engineering/construction management.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification or ability to obtain it.
• Valid driver's license and clean record.
• 1–5 years in construction, engineering, or project support.
• Experience with scheduling, cost control, budgeting or forecasting.
• Familiarity with drawings, specs, and field operations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and PM/scheduling tools.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and docs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Field Project Engineer, your day will involve supporting industrial construction projects from the office and the field to help keep work progressing safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will review engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation while coordinating closely with project managers, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Responsibilities include maintaining project records, tracking materials and procurement activities, supporting scheduling and cost control efforts, participating in safety and quality initiatives, and assisting with project reporting and change management. You will help resolve technical questions, communicate project information between stakeholders, and contribute practical solutions to construction and operational challenges. Your work plays a critical role in maintaining project performance, supporting field productivity, and ensuring successful project delivery for customers across industrial and manufacturing environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or the ability to obtain certification.
• Valid driver's license.
• 1 to 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project support roles.
• Experience with project scheduling, cost control, budgeting, or forecasting activities.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, technical specifications, and field operations.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and construction project management or scheduling software.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
