Job summary

NOOTER invites you to join as a Field Project Engineer supporting industrial construction projects, coordinating between project management, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality execution.

You will review drawings, specs, submittals, and documentation while supporting planning, scheduling, procurement, and cost control. This role emphasizes proactive problem-solving and collaboration across offices and field sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification, or ability to obtain certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • 1 to 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, or project support roles.
  • Experience with project scheduling, cost control, budgeting, or forecasting activities.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings, technical specifications, and field operations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and construction project management or scheduling software.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Maintain project records and track materials and procurement activities.
  • Support scheduling and cost control efforts; assist with reporting and change management.
  • Contribute to safety and quality initiatives; resolve technical questions between stakeholders.
  • Help ensure on-schedule, on-budget project delivery for industrial environments.

DAY IN THE LIFE

As a Field Project Engineer, your day will involve supporting industrial construction projects from the office and the field to help keep work progressing safely, on schedule, and within budget. You will review engineering drawings, specifications, submittals, and project documentation while coordinating closely with project managers, field supervision, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Responsibilities include maintaining project records, tracking materials and procurement activities, supporting scheduling and cost control efforts, participating in safety and quality initiatives, and assisting with project reporting and change management. You will help resolve technical questions, communicate project information between stakeholders, and contribute practical solutions to construction and operational challenges. Your work plays a critical role in maintaining project performance, supporting field productivity, and ensuring successful project delivery for customers across industrial and manufacturing environments.

QUALIFICATIONS
