Job summary

ECI Group is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer for the Storage Tank and Truck Loading Area at our Waggaman facility. This onsite contract role focuses on delivering reliable truck loading and storage tank systems, with kickoff through commissioning and startup support.

Ideal candidates have 8–10+ years in Petrochem/Chemicals, a Mechanical Engineering degree, and strong leadership to coordinate cross-functional teams across operations, maintenance, and quality groups.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 8-10+ years in Petrochem/Chemicals/Refinery construction or project management.
• Experience with storage tanks, truck loading systems, pumps, valves, meters, alarms and interlocks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee truck loading facilities, storage tanks, and flare system equipment.
• Lead projects from equipment delivery through commissioning and closeout.
• Develop budgets, monitor costs, and report status to stakeholders.
• Create detailed project schedules and manage resources and dependencies.
• Support procurement, subcontractor management, and change controls.
• Ensure design, safety, and regulatory compliance for all facilities.
