T. Baker Smith, LLC. is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to join our engineering team.

The role focuses on working with multidisciplinary teams to design, analyze, and implement industrial, facilities, and pipeline projects from FEED through construction support and commissioning. The candidate will apply strong technical expertise in pipeline design, regulatory compliance, and project execution, including HDD crossings, piggable transmission systems, and mainline components.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. ABET accreditation preferred.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of pipeline and midstream engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of CFR, ASME codes, PHMSA regulations, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical engineering tasks for pipelines and related systems.
• Coordinate with project manager and client teams on scopes, schedules and budgets.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, and construction documents.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians to deliver quality work.
