Mechanical Project Engineer - Remote Opportunity!

We're seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team. As a Project Engineer you'll play a key role in designing and laying out new material handling projects, with a focus on drawing details and BOM checking.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on layout and design of material handling projects, leading efforts as needed
• Develop and verify project equipment lists based on project requirements
• Create detailed drawings and packages for equipment installation
• Prepare PE/Permit drawing packages for submission to local jurisdictions
• Travel to job sites to support installation and commissioning of material handling equipment
• Validate proper installation through commissioning/checkout documentation
• Lead system design reviews, generating notes for project team distribution

Required Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfortable communicating with cross functional engineering teams, installation teams and customers
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Experienced with drafting software (AutoCAD)
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 6+ years of experience in the Material Handling Industry
• Knowledge of distribution center operations and material handling equipment (high-speed conveyors, sorters, ASRS, AGVs, AMRs)

This is a remote role that requires 15-25% travel. Compensation is $90-120k DOE
