Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Structural/Civil Engineering.
• 10+ years of industrial manufacturing experience; pulp & paper a plus.
• Project management experience; PMP certification a plus.
• Excellent trouble shooting skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Drafting and CAD (AutoCAD) training/experience.
• Experience in sizing, rotating equipment, process instrumentation, design, structural analysis, mechanics, machine design, or fluid systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform front end planning and detailed design for capital projects to meet safety, technical, cost and schedule goals.
• Execute project procurement and vendor/contractor management.
• Outline project requirements and provide technical support from design through commissioning.
• Inspect installations to ensure compliance with OSHA/ANSI/ASME/AISC and related codes.
• Comply with corporate project standards and reporting timelines.
• Coordinate outside resources to assist with operational improvements.
