Job summary

RK Industries, LLC is seeking a Project Engineer (Levels 1–3) to support mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. You will assist with planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration while coordinating with managers, field teams, customers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction-related field
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

• Ability to read and understand construction docs, contracts, specs, and drawings
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CM software

• Understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and admin processes preferred
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in execution and administration of mechanical construction projects
• Manage and maintain project documentation including daily reports, timecards, as-builts, and change docs
• Assist with contract administration, negotiations, and compliance
• Prepare and distribute project budgets and financial tracking reports
• Coordinate preconstruction and turnover meetings
• Ensure permits and licenses are maintained
• Support procurement and subcontractor activities
• Assist with subcontract negotiations and scope reviews
• Manage submittals, shop drawings, and closeout documentation
• Coordinate material ordering and purchasing activities
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules
• Support change orders and related documentation
• Monitor labor productivity, hours, and cost performance
• Assist billing processes and collections
• Verify materials align with invoicing
• Coordinate communication among owners, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers
• Support quality control and project closeout documentation
• Support safety initiatives and compliance
• Identify project risks and develop solutions
