Job description

Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer - Project Manager for a role with a heavy industrial manufacturer located near Charleston, SC.

The ME will be responsible for managing CAPEX and maintenance projects from initial request through completion, including solution development, budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and project execution. Coordinates with vendors, contractors, Operations, and Maintenance to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards.

The role also focuses on equipment reliability and continuous improvement, including developing maintenance recommendations, supporting equipment modifications, updating engineering drawings, training end-users, and addressing recurring equipment issues.

This is a unique role that requires both technical expertise and business acumen to effectively communicate with stakeholders within the plant and those who support projects such as vendors and 3rd party designers.
