Job summary

Fox Point Recruitment LLC seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer for our Graniteville, SC operations. The role is onsite, overseeing mechanical engineering across the plant, managing capital projects from $50K up to $5M, and driving safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.

You will lead FAT and commissioning, work with Autodesk Inventor and Vault, coordinate external contractors, and mentor cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Analyze designs to meet safety, budget and schedule constraints.
• Ensure safety objectives and regulatory requirements are observed.

Additional Variable Compensation: 10% annually

Job Overview

An international leader in the tire and mobility industry is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for its operations in Graniteville, South Carolina.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for mechanical expertise in single/multiple areas of the plant.
• Lead continuous improvement and corrective action activities & projects.
• Provide technical support to internal customers.
• Project management such as new machine installations, upgrades, etc. Projects ranging from $50K to $5M.
• Analyze project requirements, identify, and address design parameter and engineering challenges to ensure solutions are implemented accurately, timely and within budget.
• Oversee project workflow and support internal and external resources to ensure on-time delivery of projects, meeting quality standards and within budget.
• Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements, for all activities, are observed and implemented.
• Participate in monitoring and evaluating the performance of existing systems, processes and technologies and recommends modifications and enhancements to improve quality and/or efficiency.
• Mechanical lead on projects through all phases to include design, fabrication, implementation, testing (FAT), commissioning, and daily operation.

Engineering:

• Engineering drawing development / management using Autodesk products: AutoCad Mechanical, Inventor, Vault
• Create and finalize designs to meet project scope of work and safety requirements, Bill of Materials and spare part requirements.
• Work closely with vendors and manage external contractors on installations.
• Project/Equipment risk assessment & safety countermeasure implementation.
• Machine FAT, machine start-up and commissioning.
