Job Title: Mechanical Project Engineer

Location: Missouri

Job Type: Permanent full-time

We need a mechanical engineer with solid control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, 3D modeling and mechanical design, preferably with industrial furnace design.

The purpose of this position is to provide design and maintenance support for equipment, facilities, and manufacturing processes. This includes the ongoing evaluation and upgrading of existing equipment and facilities as well as the design and development of new equipment to meet Company and customer needs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following; however, other duties may be assigned:

  1. Investigate and resolve day to day equipment problems.
  2. Analyze processes and equipment to determine requirements, including consideration of function, reliability, maintenance, cost, and safety.
  3. Design new power distribution, control systems (including PLC and equipment). Oversee the fabrication and installation.
  4. Plan and execute projects or continuing programs which include the specification, purchase, compliance with applicable codes and installation of new equipment.
  5. Design and implement modifications to existing heat treat,
  6. Resolve problems during the start-up of new equipment and processes and establish routine operating parameters.
  7. Complete and/or update mechanical, electrical, electronic and architectural AUTOCAD drawings needed for building and equipment documentation.
  8. Develop documentation, operating manuals, and training aids for production equipment throughout the Company.
  9. Purchase materials for various engineering department activities, particularly new equipment fabrication and installations and special maintenance concerns throughout the Company.
Qualifications

Must have's:

  • Pneumatics, hydraulics, 3D modeling, mechanical design, expect to hit the Lower $ range training time provided, but expectations are high and quick to be on own.

Qualifications required:

  1. Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. 8+ years of experience in control systems.
  3. Pneumatics, hydraulics, 3D modeling, mechanical design.
  4. Industrial furnace design is a plus.
