Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) in Pasadena is seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to design energy-efficient building systems for healthcare, research, and education facilities.

You will guide the design process, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and drive innovative mechanical solutions that meet project goals. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of HVAC experience, a BSME/BSAE, and a PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE or other engineering discipline with applicable experience.
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, healthcare or higher education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the engineering design process for assigned mechanical projects within the discipline.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions aligned with project and client needs.
• Direct the discipline team to implement approved solutions effectively.

As a Mechanical Project Engineer in our Pasadena office, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will be responsible for engineering design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. You will develop innovative and unique engineering solutions to align with project, client and project partner’s needs, and leads the discipline team in implementing the solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Project Engineer:

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 10+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration preferred.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,000 to $180,000
