Job summary

Hermanson Company in the Richmond area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the project team on commercial construction projects. The APM works closely with the PM and Sr.

PM, coordinating field and office communications, procurement and documentation to help keep projects on schedule. Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering, plus strong computer skills (ACC Build, MS Office, Bluebeam, D365).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Business, or Engineering.
• Experience with ACC Build, MS Office, Bluebeam Revu, D365 preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work on-site and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates with the field, client, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Meets and develops relationships with foremen, superintendents, customers, engineers, general contractors, and subcontractors.
• Performs duties in accordance with Hermanson Company standards and procedures.
• Assists with one to multiple projects; may manage small projects.
• Works with manager to create a personal development plan.
• Develops knowledge of the local construction marketplace.
• Gains exposure to BIM and detailing processes.
