Job summary

Hitachi Energy USA Inc in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design mechanical components for distribution transformers, develop detailed designs, and drive cost-aware solutions.

You will collaborate with sales, supply chain, and manufacturing; travel occasionally to U.S. and Canadian facilities. Proficiency in CREO, 3D modeling, simulations, and finite element analysis is required, with a minimum of 2 years in the power industry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience in the power industry; transformer experience preferred.
  • Proficient in CREO, 3D modeling, simulations, and finite element analysis.
  • Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, CSA.
  • Strong understanding of design-to-cost and design-to-manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.

Your Background
