Job Description
We are seeking a field‑focused Mechanical Engineer to create and maintain installation and commissioning procedures for power and industrial projects. This role supports field technicians by translating drawings, specifications, and industry codes into clear, step‑by‑step installation narratives. This is not a design position.
Responsibilities
- Create, revise, and update installation and commissioning procedures from foundation through equipment installation and startup
- Review and interpret P&IDs, single‑line diagrams, schematics, and general arrangement drawings
- Support field execution involving turbines, motors, pumps, fans, heat exchangers, piping, foundations, and alignment activities
- Ensure compliance with industry codes and standards (ASME, ISO, OSHA)
- Collaborate with field teams and stakeholders, providing clear communication and technical guidance
Required Experience
- Mechanical Engineering degree with 4+ years of experience, or 8+ years of relevant field experience
- Background in Power Generation, Oil & Gas, EPC, Powerplant, or Renewables environments
- Hands‑on experience with P&IDs, piping, foundations, shaft alignment, and rotating equipment
- Strong written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with steam or gas turbines
- Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Japanese language skills
