Job summary

Ramboll seeks a Mechanical Process Design Lead to guide large groundwater and wastewater projects. You will create P&IDs, flow diagrams, layouts, and complete technical documentation for complex treatment facilities.

You will lead a team on multidisciplinary projects, developing 3D models and detailed design packages while coordinating with clients, engineers, and vendors. PE licensed candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and 15+ years of qualifying engineering experience in wastewater treatment design.
• Or an Associate’s Degree or technical certification and 20+ years of qualifying engineering experience in wastewater treatment design.
• Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Lead process mechanical design for large groundwater and wastewater treatment projects.
• Develop functional, constructable process mechanical designs including P&IDs, process flow diagrams, equipment/piping layouts, and piping isometrics.
• Develop 3D models, plans, specifications, equipment data sheets, and technical documentation; AutoCAD Plant 3D, Revit MEP, and hydraulic/pipe stress software experience preferred.
• Prepare Basis of Design reports, process control narratives, technical specifications, and other technical documents.
• Serve as a mechanical/process or technical lead on large multidisciplinary projects; commissioning and long-term plant operations experience is a plus.
