HIRING A MECHANICAL PRACTICE AREA LEADER - HEALTHCARE IN DALLAS

ACCOUNTABILITY

Oversees design standards and staff training within the discipline. Responsible for standards related to design approach, construction documents, specifications, construction administration, analyses, reports, studies, and engineering design project cost control. Ensures departmental operations are consistent and efficient, meeting customer expectations, company standards, and coordination with other departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Coordinate with the Design Director for technical support and personnel qualification assessments.
  2. Develop and implement an annual training program to enhance staff knowledge and improve design quality.
  3. Define project scope, design philosophies, and work descriptions in engineering terms.
  4. Participate in Quality Control by reviewing design criteria, documents, and specifications throughout projects.
  5. Hold monthly department meetings to discuss procedures.
  6. Engage in management meetings and internal functions.
  7. Review and update office standards and details.
  8. Review completed drawings for progress and quality.
  9. Represent the firm in professional organizations such as ASHRAE, IESNA, ASPE, and deliver industry presentations at conferences and seminars like A4LE, TASA, USGBC.
  10. Participate in trade organizations, stay informed on industry trends, and share insights with staff.
  11. Travel to other company locations annually to train staff.
  12. Maintain an organized work environment for efficiency.
  13. Attend seminars and pursue continuing education.
  14. Perform additional duties as required.
LICENSING/CERTIFICATION

Professional Engineering license required.
