Job summary

GEMU Group in Atlanta is seeking a Mechanical Polisher to join our production team. You will mechanically polish stainless-steel parts to meet customer specifications and contribute to quality and efficiency goals.

The role requires reading and interpreting work instructions and drawings in English, with a second shift schedule. Prior polishing or metal finishing experience is preferred, and basic computer skills are a plus. Safety and quality are paramount.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1+ year of experience in a production environment / operating machines
• Mechanical polishing, buffing, grinding, or metal finishing preferred
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and technical drawings in English.
• Basic computer skills are a plus.
• Experience working with stainless steel components is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mechanically polish stainless-steel parts to customer specification.
• Select and use belts, wheels, compounds, and equipment settings for each finish requirement.
• Read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and customer requirements.
• Inspect parts before, during, and after polishing to verify surface finish and conformance to specifications.
• Identify nonconforming parts and elevate concerns per quality procedures.
• Maintain polishing equipment and perform routine upkeep.
• Accurately document production activities and inspection results.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Other duties, as required.

Mechanical Polishing

We are looking for a detail-oriented Mechanical Polisher to join our production team. In this role, you will mechanically polish stainless-steel parts to achieve the surface finish required by customer specification. This position plays a key role in ensuring our products meet engineering specifications and customer quality expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Mechanically polish stainless-steel parts as required per customer specification.
• Select and use the correct belts, wheels, compounds, and equipment settings for each finish requirement.
• Read and follow work instructions, technical drawings, and customer requirements.
• Inspect parts before, during, and after polishing to verify surface finish and conformance to specifications.
• Identify nonconforming parts and elevate concerns per quality procedures.
• Maintain polishing equipment and perform routine upkeep.
• Accurately document production activities and inspection results.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while following all safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Other duties, as required.

Work Schedule:
Available to work second shift (2:45pm-11:30pm with a 45-minute lunch).
Some early morning, evening, or weekend work may be required based on business needs.
