A small, dynamic Mechanical and Electrical Consulting Engineering firm with headquarters in the lower Nob Hill area in San Francisco and offices in Oakland and Los Angeles is looking for motivated engineers and designers for the following positions. Our clients include public agencies at local, state, and government levels, as well as private sectors. Projects include educational facilities (K-12, colleges, and universities), residential multi-family, industrial, transportation, hotels, high-rise buildings, and more.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of plumbing design experience across various project types. The candidate should be familiar with the latest California and local plumbing codes and NFPA standards. Responsibilities include plumbing calculations, design layout, writing specifications, attending client meetings, and site investigations. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience with AutoCAD are preferred.
This position requires at least 7 years of experience designing HVAC systems for airside and waterside applications. Duties include writing specifications, attending client meetings, conducting site investigations and building surveys, and being well-versed with California mechanical codes and Title 24 energy calculations. A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required. Experience with AutoCAD and sustainability design is a plus.
This role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience, including all responsibilities of the HVAC Designer role. Additionally, the candidate should be capable of acting as a project engineer, managing projects from start to finish with minimal supervision. Strong knowledge of LEED/sustainability, energy efficiency, control systems, and sequence of operations is essential. A PE license and LEED accreditation are advantageous.
