Job summary

• PE license required.
• 3–5 years of mechanical/plumbing engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing-system design and engineering principles.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Bluebeam, Mathcad or similar software.
• Experience with commercial, industrial, healthcare, or institutional projects preferred.
• Strong project coordination and construction administration experience.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of applicable plumbing and building codes.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Design plumbing systems including domestic water, sanitary, stormwater, natural gas, and specialty piping.
• Perform system and hydraulic calculations including pipe sizing, pressure loss, flow rates, and equipment selection.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, schedules, and construction documentation.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable plumbing codes, national standards, and green-building requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, structural, and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and engineering studies.
• Assist with construction cost estimating and scheduling.
• Perform site visits, inspections, and assessments.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFIs during construction.
• Support junior engineers and designers as required.

Our client, an established multidisciplinary engineering organization, is seeking a Mechanical / Plumbing Engineer to join its Mount Holly office.
