Summary

Lincoln Electric has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer. This department is responsible for designing, maintaining, improving, and supporting equipment, manufacturing processes, and plant-wide infrastructure. Past engineers have shaped the current operations.

As a Mechanical Plant Engineer, you will support and execute projects across manufacturing facilities in Cleveland and Mentor, focusing on technical challenges, safety, quality, and productivity standards. This role offers a chance to contribute to operational sustainability and growth.

What You Will Do
  • Collaborate on capital projects for manufacturing facilities in Cleveland and Mentor.
  • Handle mechanical aspects of projects including design, documentation, installation, and support.
  • Develop solutions to improve equipment reliability, safety, and reduce costs.
  • Create and maintain documentation for engineering and maintenance teams.
  • Design compliant solutions with ISO 14001 and EHS standards.
  • Provide cost estimates and project timelines.
  • Specify and evaluate equipment quotations.
  • Support production and maintenance departments with technical expertise.
  • Coordinate with process engineering, production, and supply teams.
  • Manage outside engineering and construction personnel.
  • Ensure safety, health, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned and support the company's 2025 strategy.
Required Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 3 years of experience.
  • Ownership mentality and results-driven.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Good judgment, self-motivation, safety commitment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible with assignments and priorities.
  • Hands-on work capability and teamwork on the shop floor.

  • Willingness to work off shifts, travel within Northeast Ohio, and as needed.
