Job summary

Merrick & Company in Greenwood Village, CO is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer with 0–4 years of experience. You will generate 3D equipment models, piping layouts, isometrics, and P&IDs, using AutoCAD/Plant3D to produce precise drawings.

Travel to client sites is expected to support as-built updates and ongoing design efforts. Local candidates only; US work authorization without sponsorship is required.

Job description

OVERVIEW

Merrick & Company is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer with zero (0) to four (4) years of experience at our Greenwood Village, CO office.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Generate drawings for 3D equipment modeling and piping systems, development of detailed isometric drawings from the 3D model, and equipment location drawings, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs)
• Utilize AutoCAD/Plant3D to design engineering drawings.
• Generate process, mechanical, piping deliverables, E&IC and taking direction from all these disciplines. Working in a multi-disciplinary team, the designer will be responsible for generating designs to meet exacting technical standards.
• Some travel to client project sites to support drawing as built and design efforts is expected.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Zero (0) to Four (4) to years of experience is required.
• Proficiency using Autocad/Plant 3D.
• Knowledge or experience in the use of national standards including ASME B31.
• Candidates for this position must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier.
• Local candidates only.
