Job summary

Brunel is seeking a Commissioning Mechanical & Piping Lead for a contract in Bagdad, AZ, on a 4x1 rotation. The role leads mechanical and piping commissioning activities, ensuring installations, flushing, testing, and verification per project specs and safety requirements.

You will review deliverables, coordinate with I&C, Electrical, and Process teams, and supervise commissioning technicians to meet tight start-up schedules while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or equivalent).
• 10–15 years of experience in mechanical/piping engineering.
• At least 5 years in commissioning leadership roles.
• Experience in large EPC projects (mining, oil & gas, power, smelting, or industrial plants).
• Proven experience in commissioning & start-up phases.
• Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and coordination abilities.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute mechanical and piping commissioning activities to bring systems into operation.
• Review P&IDs, isometrics, datasheets, and vendor manuals.
• Coordinate with I&C, Electrical, and Process commissioning teams; support handovers through project phases.
