Job summary

ENFRA is seeking a Pipefitter to execute mechanical piping projects across office buildings, hotels, hospitals, and institutional facilities. You will read isometric drawings, lay out and fabricate branch saddles, and install butt-w Weld and socket-weld joints with a team of 2–5.

Strong piping knowledge and tools are essential for success. Role requires ability to work overtime, travel to sites as needed, and effective communication to coordinate with crew and supervisors in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Experience in assembling and installing metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes and fittings.
• Understand Mechanical contract drawings and shop drawings.
• Able to work with a team of 2-5 people.
• Experience with mechanical pipe systems (Carbon steel).
• Knowledge of pipe fittings.
• Able to tack and secure pipes with proper fit up.
• Ability to work with copper and hangers; understands piping support requirements.
• Team player with effective verbal and written communication; detail-oriented.

Overview

The Pipefitter is responsible for working on commercial mechanical projects ranging from office buildings and hotels to hospitals and institutional facilities, handling laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical piping systems, and pipe supports.

• Ability to layout, miter fittings and fabrication of branch saddles.
• Ability to fit open butt-weld and socket-weld joints.

Qualifications

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Experience in assembling and installing a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
• Ability to understand Mechanical contract drawings and shop drawings
• Ability to work with a team of 2-5 people
• Experience with mechanical pipe systems (Carbon steel)
• Knowledge of pipe fittings
• Ability to tack
• Must have required tools for proper pipe fit up.
• Ability to work with other pipe material such as copper and hangers
• Understands proper piping support requirements.
• Team player
• Willing to work overtime
• Skilled in connecting pipes, using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, solvent welded joints, pressed and grooved.
• Ability to secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and understand isometric drawings.
• Ability to Layout, miter fittings and fabrication of branch saddles.
• Ability to fit open butt-weld and socket-weld joints.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Travel Requirements

• 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Use oxygen and acetylene rig to cut and bevel pipe, angle iron, brackets, etc.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
• Climbing stairs.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
• Noisy environment.
• Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.

Pay Range

USD $24.28 - USD $32.41 /Hr.
