Job summary

ENFRA LLC is seeking a Pipefitter to lay out, assemble, install, and maintain mechanical piping systems on commercial projects including office buildings, hotels, and hospitals. The role requires reading isometric drawings, fabricating branch saddles, and joining pipes with various methods.

The candidate should be able to work with 2–5 teammates, handle metal and nonmetal piping materials, and be willing to work overtime in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience assembling and installing metal and nonmetal pipes (iron, steel, copper, plastic).
• Ability to read mechanical/shop drawings and understand isometric drawings.
• Willingness to work with a team of 2–5 people and to overtime.

Responsibilities

Overview

The Pipefitter is responsible for working on commercial mechanical projects ranging from office buildings and hotels to hospitals and institutional facilities, handling laying out, assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical piping systems, and pipe supports.

Responsibilities

• Reads and understands isometric drawings.
• Ability to layout, miter fittings and fabrication of branch saddles.
• Ability to fit open butt-weld and socket-weld joints.

Required Education, Experience, and Qualifications

• Experience in assembling and installing a variety of metal and nonmetal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including iron, steel, copper, and plastic.
• Ability to understand Mechanical contract drawings and shop drawings
• Ability to work with a team of 2-5 people
• Experience with mechanical pipe systems (Carbon steel)
• Knowledge of pipe fittings
• Ability to tack
• Must have required tools for proper pipe fit up.
• Ability to work with other pipe material such as copper and hangers
• Understands proper piping support requirements.
• Team player
• Willing to work overtime
• Skilled in connecting pipes, using threaded, soldered, brazed, fused, solvent welded joints, pressed and grooved.
• Ability to secure pipes to structure with brackets, clamps, and hangers, using hand tools and power tools.
• Read and understand isometric drawings.
• Ability to Layout, miter fittings and fabrication of branch saddles.
• Ability to fit open butt-weld and socket-weld joints.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary.

Travel Requirements

• 0-5% of time will be spent traveling to job site(s)/office location.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements

• Use oxygen and acetylene rig to cut and bevel pipe, angle iron, brackets, etc.
• Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and/or poles.
• Climbing stairs.
• Moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces.
• Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
• Operating machinery and/or power tools.
• Outdoor elements such as precipitation, heat, cold, and/or wind.
• Noisy environment.
• Light to heavy work that includes adjusting and/or moving objects from 20-100 pounds.

Pay Range

USD $24.28 - USD $32.41 /Hr.
