Job summary

Jobot seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer with PE to join its nationally recognized engineering consulting team in California. The role concentrates on Property/ Site Assessments of MEP systems, energy audits, and commissioning for large facilities.

The ideal candidate has 10–15+ years in MEP consulting, HVAC/plumbing expertise, and strong leadership. A PE is preferred; travel to sites is required. We offer a hybrid schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• PE License Desired.
• 10–15+ years of MEP consulting experience in engineering, design and evaluation of large-scale MEPF systems.
• HVAC and plumbing system expertise required; knowledge of electrical & fire protection systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), energy audits, commissioning, and forensic evaluations of MEPF building systems.
• Design, construction management, and evaluations of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
• Provide estimations of probable costs to repair or replace systems.
• Peer review building designs.
• Interact, coordinate, and communicate clearly with site personnel and clients.
• Travel to project sites as needed.

Sr Mechanical Engineer PE – MEP Property Assessments / Commissioning / Energy Audits

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with strong experience performing Property/Site Assessments of MEP Building Systems including Energy Audits and Commissioning.

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
• PE License Desired
• 10-15+ years of MEP Consulting Firm experience engaging in Engineering, Design and Evaluation of Large-Scale MEPF Building Systems
• HVAC and Plumbing System expertise is Required, with of knowledge of Electrical & Fire Protection Systems
• Experience in Facilities Engineering, Energy Audits, Commissioning, and Sustainability Consulting
• Knowledge of State & National Building Codes & Standards.
• Combine your interest in sustainable design with regulatory expertise to develop effective solutions for clients.
• CEM or LEED Certifications preferred, but Not Required
• Demonstrated leadership and project management successes
• Ability to communicate in a professional manner, remain organized, and multitask
• Decision-making and problem-solving experience in a technical role
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, PlanGrid
