Job summary

CSX Corporation, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, invites motivated students to join its Mechanical Intern program. This paid 12-month internship based in Jacksonville combines hands-on asset utilization, reliability analytics, and exposure to data tools while you work full-time in-office during the summer and then for the remainder of the internship.

As an intern, you will review and design analytics to monitor mechanical car reliability, collaborate with Facilities and Transportation teams,

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Finance, Engineering, Economics, Statistics, Business Analytics, Logistics or a related major field of study.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

Responsibilities

• Review, design and implement analytics platform to monitor mechanical car reliability, repair and production.
• Partner with Facilities, Mechanical Car/Locomotive and Transportation to support CSX Network and ensure reliable mechanical equipment.
• Progress updates and miscellaneous activities as assigned by Manager.
