Job summary

Major Tool in Albany, OR is seeking a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support design, development, and manufacturing of custom mechanical components and assemblies for diverse customers. You will transform drawings and specifications into manufacturable products in close collaboration with customers and internal teams.

The role involves analyzing performance, conducting simulations, and ensuring compliance with standards, safety, and customer requirements while maintaining project timelines

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks and Inventor).
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• 5+ years in design/manufacturing environment.
• MRP/ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Enter and maintain MRP / ERP data related to Engineering.
• Design and develop mechanical components, systems and equipment.
• Sheet metal design / build to print.
• Create engineering drawings and 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations and feasibility studies.
• Conduct testing and analyze performance to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, quality and project teams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure designs comply with industry standards and customer requirements.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation.
• Support installation, commissioning and maintenance of mechanical systems.
