About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join a high-volume, advanced manufacturing operation client in Macon, Georgia. This position is responsible for developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and continuously improving manufacturing processes, equipment, product quality, and production standards.
The Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with Production, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, R&D, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing capability, productivity, process reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing problems, analyzing data, improving processes, supporting new product launches, and working hands-on in a fast-paced production environment.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze manufacturing and quality data and translate findings into practical engineering solutions.
- Experience or demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and develop corrective/preventive actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing, automotive manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, or quality engineering.
- Experience with automated manufacturing equipment or industrial production systems.
- Experience with process optimization, equipment improvement, tooling, fixtures, molds, or mechanical systems.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Six Sigma training or certification.
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and statistical/data analysis.
- Experience with Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and structured problem-solving.
- Experience developing or maintaining PFMEA and Control Plans.
- Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO quality systems, OEM requirements, and customer audits.
- Experience with new product introduction, process validation, and production trials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and engineering/manufacturing data analysis tools.
