Job summary

Qualifications

• Accredited degree or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 7+ years as a millwright.
• Strong mechanical and technical expertise, including welding knowledge.
• Proven leadership and supervisory experience.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to plan, organize, and execute maintenance work effectively.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead and train teams.
• Working knowledge of reliability maintenance practices.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed.

This position also oversees hiring, training, and development to strengthen team capability and departmental performance.

Work is performed in an industrial mill environment, including exposure to extreme temperatures, confined spaces, heights, and physically demanding conditions.

Required Qualifications

• Accredited degree OR equivalent hands-on experience

• 7+ years of experience as a millwright

• Strong mechanical and technical expertise, including welding knowledge

• Proven leadership and supervisory experience

• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills

• Ability to plan, organize, and execute maintenance work effectively

• Strong communication skills and ability to lead and train teams

• Working knowledge of reliability maintenance practices

• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a wood products manufacturing environment

• Advanced knowledge of equipment maintenance systems and processes

• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and inventory management

• Demonstrated success implementing continuous improvement initiatives
