Overview

Responsible for directing and coordinating maintenance operations, focusing on mechanical maintenance functions such as preventative and corrective actions on scrolls, pumps, and centrifugal machines. The role aims to meet objectives in quality, reliability, safety, cost, and on-time delivery. The Maintenance Supervisor fosters a safety culture by leading by example, setting standards, and reinforcing positive behaviors. Ensures compliance with all company policies and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and develops action plans to address these needs.

Roles & Responsibilities
  1. Ensure a safe and healthy working environment by eliminating hazards, training employees, and promoting safety awareness. Oversee incident reporting and root cause analysis.
  2. Implement corrective actions to reduce safety risks, maintenance problems, and waste to maximize equipment availability.
  3. Review, approve, and schedule maintenance work orders. Inspect work for accuracy and timeliness.
  4. Coordinate daily maintenance to maximize equipment uptime, utilizing available resources efficiently.
  5. Develop and communicate action plans. Manage maintenance personnel to ensure continuous operation and maximize repair efficiency.
  6. Monitor maintenance tasks for compliance with quality and GMP standards.
  7. Develop and oversee preventative maintenance programs, manage resources, and maintain accurate records.
  8. Coordinate with vendors for equipment and parts procurement, gather technical data, and submit proposals for new equipment or parts.
  9. Review costs and implement measures to minimize unnecessary expenses.
  10. Supervise special projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and proper documentation.
  11. Maintain good housekeeping in all areas and equipment.
  12. Review time cards for accuracy.
  13. Conduct daily safety contacts and monthly safety meetings.
  14. Track scheduling and costs for major maintenance projects.
  15. Assist in developing outage and shutdown maintenance plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
  1. Knowledge of mechanical systems, including rotating and fixed equipment; electrical knowledge is a plus.
  2. Familiarity with NDT methods, vibration, and oil analysis reports.
  3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with SAP or similar inventory and PM systems is preferred.
  4. Experience with CMMS platforms like SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards is required.
  5. Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Availability to work weekends, overtime, and shifts as needed.
Work Experience
  1. Minimum five years of related experience.
  2. Three years of supervisory experience preferred.
  3. Experience in a machine shop or equipment garage environment is a plus.
Education

Location

Salary Range

$73,500 - $136,500 plus bonus. Compensation depends on qualifications and experience.
