Job summary

The AMES Companies, Inc. in Ocala, FL is seeking a Mechanical Specialist I to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and support systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical issues, supporting production needs and maintaining safe, efficient operations. Working Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.

to 2:30 p.m. on-site, with potential overtime. Candidates should have 7–10 years of related experience and a solid understanding of industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent experience).
• 7-10 years of related experience.
• Advanced mechanical knowledge with basic electrical proficiency.
• Strong understanding of industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production equipment and support systems.
• Conduct mechanical repairs and basic electrical troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments.
• Perform work up to—but not including—adjustments or repairs of computerized controls.
• Set up and operate equipment requiring basic electrical adjustments.
• Provide personal hand tools not supplied by the department.
• Accurately account for all working time.
• Communicate issues to supervisors and team members.
• Perform duties safely and professionally.
• Comply with company policies.
• Work effectively in a team environment and maintain attendance.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support operations and business needs.
