Job summary

Kelly Engineering seeks a detail-oriented Mechanical / Maintenance Planner for its Orange, TX site. You will develop complete work packages for mechanical maintenance, ensuring proper scope, staffing, scheduling, and readiness for execution at a chemical manufacturing plant.

You will collaborate with maintenance, operations, reliability engineering, procurement, and contractors to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance planning processes.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of industrial maintenance experience in chemical/manufacturing settings.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience planning and preparing work packages for mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Plan mechanical maintenance work for routine, corrective, preventive and turnaround activities.
• Define scope, labor, materials, tools, and permits from field conditions.
• Develop detailed work packages with steps, labor estimates, equipment needs and safety considerations.
• Coordinate with warehouse/procurement for material availability and long-lead items.
• Maintain accurate CMMS data and review completed work orders for continuous improvement.
