The Mechanical Maintenance and Operations Technician II acts as a lead worker in the maintenance and operation of associated systems and equipment at the institution.
EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Four years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Experience in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must be 18 years of age.
May be required to take care of emergency repairs twenty-four hours a day.
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
