Job summary

Hinkley Lighting is seeking a Mechanical Lab Technician to support residential lighting fixture and ceiling fan testing. You will set up and operate test equipment, prepare samples, collect and document data, and compile reports to support compliance, engineering validation, and lab quality activities.

Responsibilities include building or modifying test setups, assisting with calibration, and contributing to accreditation efforts under ISO 17025 while collaborating with engineering and QA teams.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical testing experience.
• Associate degree in a technical discipline preferred; equivalent experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate test equipment for electrical, mechanical, thermal, and optical tests.
• Record, verify, and document data; prepare clear reports for engineers and certification bodies.
• Maintain basic equipment calibration and lab safety; support ISO 17025 quality system.
