Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Lab Technician to support laboratory testing and manufacturing processes across multiple areas. Training is provided and cross-department learning is expected.

Starting in a utility role, you will gain experience across Receiving, Milling, Chemical Lab, Hardness Testing, Tensile Testing, and CNC Lathe operations before advancing. Strong attention to safety and ability to follow procedures are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document results.
• Willingness to learn across multiple departments and processes.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and material testing activities.
• Prepare samples for testing.
• Perform tensile, impact, and hardness testing.
• Work in areas including Receiving, Milling, Etching, Chemical Lab, Hardness Testing, Tensile Testing, Impact Testing, Saws, Heat Treat, and CNC Lathe.
• Accurately document testing results and required information.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
• Participate in cross-department training and learn additional processes and equipment.
