Job summary

Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc. is seeking a Lab Coordinator to oversee receipt, routing, and testing of lab samples at our Bridgeville facility. You will pack and ship outside test samples, coordinate with departments to troubleshoot issues, and ensure accurate documentation of inbound loads.

This role supports the lab supervisor and lab & shipping manager. Candidates should have a high school diploma and up to 6 months of mechanical testing lab experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6 months experience in a mechanical testing lab preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee receipt, suitability, and routing of all lab samples.
• Pack and ship outside test samples.
• Communicate with inter-department staff to troubleshoot issues.
• Receive and process incoming samples.
• Review, inspect, and document inbound loads.
• Prioritize product workflow on production floor.
• Traceability and investigation regarding any sample movement.
• Prepare test reports and communicate results.
• Input test results using computer scanners or software.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Position: Lab Coordinator

Reports to: Lab Supervisor and Lab & Shipping Manager

Primary Objective

Responsible to oversee the receipt, suitability, and routing of all lab samples

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Packingandshippingof outside testsamples.

Education and Eligibility

Physical Demands

Ability to safely move aroundandworkin an industrial plantenvironment for extendedperiodoftime includingfrequent bending, stooping, andoccasionalexposure to extreme heat

Ability to stand for extended periodof timewith dexterity related tohandling/manipulating small metalsamples andaccessories to testthem.

Occasionally lift up to50lbs.

Ability to workirregular hours andextended hours as required and maintain job performance standards.

Maintain good personal hygiene and professionalappearance.
