Job summary

RTX is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineering Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to support the Ultra Stack Munition Acceleration Program in Tucson, AZ. You will lead mechanical design, development, integration, and testing to accelerate production ramp and improve component quality and supplier readiness.

You’ll partner with OSCM and MPM to build a robust supplier base, drive risk reduction, and mentor cross‑functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics and 8+ years experience.
• Experience in mechanical design, analysis, modeling, and hardware integration; IPT leadership.
• Collaboration with Operations/Supply Chain on supplier readiness.
• Ability to obtain PM Level 6 Certification within 12 months.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of engineering execution for Ultra Stack production ramp.
• Define schedules, budgets, staffing with Program Manager and Chief Engineer.
• Align tasks with RTX discipline guidelines for design/analysis.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to mechanical and cross‑functional teams.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop risk-reduction plans.
• Interface with stakeholders communicating status, risks, opportunities, and technical direction.
• Partner with Operations & Supply Chain MPM to identify, vet, and select suppliers.
• Evaluate suppliers, qualify paths to meet rate demands.
• Balance quality vs. throughput and supplier capabilities.
• Travel ~25% early in the role and maintain supplier progress tracking.
