Smith Seckman Reid, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Intern to assist our engineering staff on assigned projects and start learning discipline policies and procedures.

Under supervision, you will participate in technical studies, investigations, and designs, contributing to project teams and learning how plans are developed and reviewed on site. The role emphasizes learning, growth, and the ability to operate a computer, traverse construction sites, and handle project documents.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to learn the basics of design and analyses within his or her discipline.
• An individual with potential for employment and growth within the firm.
• Incumbent must be able to operate a computer to check email and to produce documents using a software program.
• Incumbent shall be able to traverse and navigate construction sites to inspect work done by contractors.
• Manipulates plans periodically. Must be able to lift plans weighting 30 pounds.
