Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with applicable mechanical integrity experience.
  • 5 years experience with NDE methods and techniques used to support mechanical integrity programs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • May be exposed to varying temperatures, noise, dust, and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the mechanical integrity program to ensure safety and reliability of equipment such as pressure vessels, pipelines, storage tanks, and heat exchangers.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee inspections of critical equipment, including non‑destructive testing (NDT), visual inspections, pressure tests, and thickness gauging.
  • Ensure compliance with inspection schedules and regulatory requirements (OSHA, ASME, API).
  • Review and analyze inspection data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas of concern.
  • Evaluate and manage corrosion rates, wear, and material degradation and life expectancy of equipment.
  • Collaborate with regulatory bodies and internal/third‑party auditors during inspections and certifications.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on mechanical integrity programs, inspection records, repairs, and certifications for audits and legal compliance.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Dept. to plan and execute repairs, modifications, or upgrades for mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Make recommendations on materials, repairs, or replacements to improve safety and longevity.
  • Monitor repair quality and verify compliance with engineering specifications and standards.
  • Maintain updated records of inspections, repairs, and asset integrity assessments in CMMS.
  • Develop reports on mechanical system performance, risks, and integrity management activities for internal use and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze data to drive improvements in asset integrity and performance.
  • Work with engineers, maintenance and operations teams, reliability experts, and management to integrate mechanical integrity efforts.
  • Provide technical guidance and training on mechanical integrity standards and practices.
  • Participate in incident investigations related to mechanical equipment and provide engineering input to improve safety systems.
  • Facilitate failure analysis investigations to determine root causes and corrective actions.
  • Track advancements in mechanics integrity practices and propose updates to programs.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and process optimization while maintaining safety/compliance.
  • Improve asset reliability through condition monitoring and predictive maintenance.
