Position: Mechanical Integrity Engineer

Location: Midland, TX (Onsite)

Duration: 12+ months

Key Requirement: Total experience need to be 3-8 yrs. Need an Engineer who worked in Oil & Gas refinery or chemical with at least 2 to 3 years experience.

Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Integrity Engineer specialized in piping and pressure vessel integrity, with a focus on risk-based inspection and integrity management programs. The Integrity Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safety, reliability, and integrity of fixed equipment and structures. This role involves conducting inspections, assessments, and analyses to identify potential risks and failures. The Integrity Engineer will develop and implement maintenance and inspection programs, recommend corrective actions, and ensure compliance with company practices, industry standards and regulations.

What You Will Do:
  • Provide technical expertise on equipment degradation mechanisms, inspection, maintenance, and risk integrity management for onshore oil and gas facilities.
  • Develop, implement, and sustain Risk-Based Integrity Management programs.
  • Develop and implement inspection strategies using Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods to assess pressure vessels and piping for wall loss, crack detection, and weld quality.
  • Create and maintain fleet equipment strategies, inspection procedures, and identify tools and contractors for inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations, including NBIC, ASME and API standards (such as API 510, API 570, API 579, API 580, API 581, API 12, API 620, API 650, amongst others).
  • Review post-inspections results, conduct and evaluate fitness for service assessments, and develop remediation measures.
  • Steward inspection data workflows, data analytics and maintenance interval updates.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and third-party contractors.
Job Requirements:

What You Will Bring:
  • Bachelor s degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years experience in the upstream/downstream oil and gas industry.
  • Experience in developing risk-based inspection and maintenance programs.
  • Demonstrated leadership in developing inspection strategies and corrosion/inspection management systems.
  • Clear understanding of the capabilities and limitations of various NDE methods.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proven experience and understanding of oil and gas industry standards and regulations.
Work Experience:
Technical Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of corrosion mechanisms and mitigation strategies.
  • Knowledge of Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques such as UT, RT, MT, PT, and AE.
  • Experience with Fitness-for-Service (FFS) assessments and remaining life calculations.
  • Understanding of RBI methodologies and implementation.
Certifications & Standards:
  • API 510, API570, API 653 certification is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of pressure vessels, piping, tanks and pressure relief devices standards and regulations, including NBIC, API, ASME.
  • Familiarity with API 579 (Fitness-for-Service), API 580/581 (Risk-Based Inspection), and ASME Section VIII and B31.3.
Software & Tools:
  • Proficient with MS office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook).
  • Experience with inspection data management systems (e.g., Meridium or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II, PV Elite, SagePlus or similar).
Project & Team Skills:
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams or managing inspection projects.
  • Ability to manage contractors and third-party inspection services.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Communication & Leadership:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and presentations.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership in driving continuous improvement and safety culture.
