Job summary

People Science is seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team at a well-established manufacturer with 65+ years of experience in aluminum containers for defense and aerospace. You will inspect manufactured parts, use precision tools, and document measurements to ensure products meet specifications.

ASQ certifications and AS9100 familiarity are preferred, with a four-day workweek and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical or quality inspection in manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to use computers to enter inspection data.
• Familiar with AS9100 quality standards preferred.

Join our client, a well-established manufacturer with more than 65 years of experience producing high-quality aluminum containers for the defense and aerospace industries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Inspector to join the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in accurate work, is comfortable using computers, and has experience inspecting manufactured parts and products.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Inspect manufactured parts and finished products to verify quality and dimensional requirements
• Use precision measuring and inspection tools to confirm products meet specifications
• Identify and document defects or measurements that fall outside required tolerances
• Maintain accurate inspection records and enter information into computer systems
• Work closely with production and quality team members to resolve quality concerns
• Follow established quality procedures and safety requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous mechanical inspection, quality inspection, or manufacturing experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Comfortable using computers to enter and maintain inspection information
• Experience using inspection tools such as:
  • Tape measures and scales
  • Micrometers
  • Protractors
  • Radius and fillet gauges
  • Go/no-go gauges
  • Webster hardness testers
• Ability to read and follow specifications, instructions, and inspection requirements

ASQ certifications and familiarity with AS9100 quality standards are strongly preferred and will make you a highly competitive candidate.
