Job summary

City of Novi, Michigan is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join our team. You will perform inspections and plan reviews of mechanical and plumbing installations to ensure compliance with building codes, ordinances, and regulations.

You will work directly with contractors, builders, and residents to ensure projects meet Novi’s high standards. This role offers a predictable Monday–Friday schedule with a strong benefits package and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Minimum 10 years of field experience.
• Registered Mechanical Inspector(Act 407) and Plan Reviewer with the State of Michigan.
• Plumbing credentials preferred.

Salary: $80,017.63 per year Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The City of Novi (population 60,000+) is looking for a skilled Mechanical Inspector to join our respected team of professionals who help keep our community safe, efficient, and thriving.

In this role, you'll perform inspections and plan reviews of mechanical-and plumbing, if qualified-installations to ensure compliance with building codes, ordinances, and regulations.
