Job summary

TEST-FUCHS is a global leader in aerospace test equipment with a US location in Brecksville, Ohio. The role focuses on designing mechanical and fluid systems, performing engineering calculations, and creating PLM structures within a global, family‑owned company.

We seek candidates with a BS in Engineering, CAD proficiency in 2D/3D, and knowledge of BOM and hydraulic/electrical schematics. Advanced degrees and industry experience are a plus; comprehensive training is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field (advanced degree preferred).
• Experience in mechanical/hydraulic engineering and design.
• Knowledge of BOM management and reading hydraulic/electrical schematics.
• CAD proficiency in 2D and 3D environments.
• Basic project/process management skills.
• Familiarity with safety/mechanical standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations to justify component and design selections.
• Design mechanical solutions in compliance with requirements, cost considerations, standards, and specifications.
• Create and implement fluid system solutions.
• Create and maintain project structures within the PLM system.
• Enforce the population of the PDM/PLM/ERP system with required data for traceability and accurate BOMs.
• Support hydraulic schematic development and system configuration.
• Participate in internal projects and continuous development discussions.
• Conceive mechanical/fluid design solutions with resource efficiency throughout the process.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations to justify component and design selections.

• Designmechanicalsolutions in compliance with technical requirements, appointments,costrequirements, existing standards, and relevant specifications with theobjectiveto design arelevant solutionwithin the process

• Create and implement fluid system solutions.
• Create and maintain project structures within the PLM (project lifecycle management) system
• Enforce the population of the “PDM/PLM/ERP-system” with required data and with high quality precisions to facilitate traceability and accurate BOMsassociated with developed documents
• Support hydraulic schematic development and system configuration.
• Participate in internal projects and continuous development discussion within area of expertise

• Ensure and conceive mechanical/fluiddesign solutions in compliance with the technicalrequirements, appointments, cost requirements, elaborated standards and relevant norms with the targetofa resource efficient solution throughout the entire processworkflow

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field or equivalent industrial experience
  (Advanced degree preferred)

• Previous experience in mechanical engineering, hydraulic engineering,or mechanical designpreferred
• Technical knowledge and expertise in mechanical/fluidsystems
• Basic project/process management skills
• CAD proficiency in both 2D and 3D environments
• Knowledge to applicablesafety/mechanicalstandards and regulations
• Knowledge of BOM management
• Proficient in reading hydraulic/electrical schematics
