We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician located in Stevens Point, WI.
Ahern is seeking a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician to fulfill service work with customers in the Stevens Point and surrounding areas. In this role, you will troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues, conduct preventative maintenance on chillers, rooftop units, air handling units, hot water pumps, boilers, burners, and perform combustion tuning. You will be on a rotating on‑call schedule and service a wide variety of industries including heavy industrial, commercial, schools, healthcare, and food plants. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement.
Qualified candidates must be a Mechanical HVAC Service Technician with 5+ years of experience, ideally working on owner‑direct service work. The position requires a Universal Refrigerant certification, a clean driving record, and the ability to travel. Candidates must pass an appropriate drug screen and physical (the job entails a great deal of lifting and climbing). Successful candidates must be self‑starters, have a strong mechanical background, a good working and learning attitude, and be able to work in a fast‑paced construction environment both indoors and outdoors.
