Job summary

OWL Services LLC is seeking mechanically minded individuals to be trained in underground storage tank (UST) compliance testing, with a path to foreman and crew leadership. Roles involve hands-on site work, testing, and travel across multiple states as part of a growing service team.

Ideal candidates have a mechanical background, comfort with hand tools, and strong communication skills. Training is provided with competitive benefits and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical background with experience in trades or industrial settings.
• Able to lift 10–50 lbs and perform kneeling, bending, reaching and standing.
• Capable of climbing ladders to install/retrieve equipment.
• Work independently and communicate effectively.
• Knowledge of safety and technical protocols is a plus; basic tech for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepping the site for testing.
• Setting up testing and safety equipment.
• Removal of manhole lids for underground storage tank access.
• Driving a DOT registered commercial motor vehicle.

The Role

OWL Services is searching for highly motivated people interested in being taught a trade in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. Eventually working toward advancement within the company to become a foreman and managing a work crew.

OWL Services is searching for highly motivated people interested in being taught a trade in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. Eventually working toward advancement within the company to become a foreman and managing a work crew.

Mechanical Field Technicians

perform a variety of services within but not limited to the Gasoline Service Station Industry. These include but are not limited to precision underground tank and line tightness testing, leak detector testing, ATG certification, stage I & II vapor recovery testing, cathodic protection testing, secondary containment testing, and 3rd party facility operations inspections for gas stations. Technicians also perform containment sump repair services, gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning, and minor maintenance on these systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepping the site for testing

• Driving a DOT registered commercial motor vehicle

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools, experience in trades, and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings a plus.
• Can lift 10-50lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
• Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
• Ability to work independently and communicate well.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, safety, and technical protocols a plus.
• Basic knowledge of technology – tablet/phone/computer – for documentation.
• Must be willing to travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home days/weeks (hotels and a generous per diem is provided).
• Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.
