Job summary

OWL Services LLC is seeking mechanically inclined individuals to join as Mechanical Field Technicians, with a path toward foreman and crew leadership. You will perform underground storage tank testing, leak detector testing, and related maintenance at gas stations, with hands-on training and opportunities for career growth.

Travel across multiple states is required, with hotels and generous per diem. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and professional development within the UST

Qualifications

• Mechanical background with experience using hand tools.
• Ability to lift 10–50 lbs and perform kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
• Capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
• Ability to work independently and communicate well.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and laws is a plus.
• Basic tech literacy for documentation on tablet/phone/computer.
• Willing to travel in a multi-state area; hotels and per diem provided.
• Must pass company-paid DOT physical and drug screen with a clean driving record.

Job description

The Role

OWL Services is searching for highly motivated people interested in being taught a trade in the Underground Storage Tank (UST) compliance testing industry. Eventually working toward advancement within the company to become a foreman and managing a work crew.

Our Mechanical Field Technicians perform a variety of services within but not limited to the Gasoline Service Station Industry. These include but are not limited to precision underground tank and line tightness testing, leak detector testing, ATG certification, stage I & II vapor recovery testing, cathodic protection testing, secondary containment testing, and 3rd party facility operations inspections for gas stations. Technicians also perform containment sump repair services, gasoline and diesel fuel tank cleaning, and minor maintenance on these systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a mechanical background along with a history of working with hand tools, experience in trades, and/or experience in any industrial/commercial settings a plus.
• Can lift 10-50lbs as well as frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching, and standing.
• Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
• Ability to work independently and communicate well.
• Knowledge of applicable laws, safety, and technical protocols a plus.
• Basic knowledge of technology – tablet/phone/computer – for documentation.
• Must be willing to travel in a multi-state area, in some cases being away from home days/weeks (hotels and a generous per diem is provided).
• Must be able to pass a company paid DOT physical & drug screen and possess a clean driving record.
