Qualifications

• 3-5 years of mechanical estimating experience.
• Understanding of mechanical systems design and installation.
• Ability to read and understand drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating programs.
• Good time management and organization to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Determine scope of work and contents of the project estimate.
• Partner with subcontractors and vendors to obtain and calculate costs of labor, equipment, and materials.
• Maintain relationships with engineers, architects, subcontractors, contractors, and vendors, suggesting adjustments to the scope as needed.
• Research previous cost data to prepare bids and assist in guidelines for future estimates.
• Analyze awarded and lost estimates to identify anomalies and opportunities for future improvement.
