Job summary

A construction service provider is seeking a Mechanical-Industrial Estimator in Des Moines, Iowa. This role supports Project Managers by preparing mechanical project estimates and ensures accurate pricing. Candidates should have 5+ years of estimating experience, preferably in HVAC and associated systems, and strong communication skills. The position requires proficiency in estimating software and collaboration with various stakeholders, ensuring project deadlines and specifications are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical estimating experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized estimating systems and/or Trimble Autobid estimating systems is preferred.
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, piping, plumbing, and associated codes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete mechanical project estimates including HVAC, piping, plumbing.
• Perform detailed drawing take-offs using estimating software.
• Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
