A leading company in the food industry is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Utility Technician responsible for operating and maintaining various utility systems. The role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to perform repairs and maintenance with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will have a strong troubleshooting ability and be detail-oriented, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineering Utility Technicianis responsible for safely operating, monitoring, adjusting and maintaining a variety of utility systems, including high pressure steam boilers, ammonia refrigeration, well water, potable water, hot water, fire suppression, pneumatic, and HVAC equipment. This role requires hands-on experience with a diverse range of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as the ability to perform routine and emergency repairs, preventative maintenance, and system inspections. The operator must be proactive, self-directed, and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.
