Job summary

Dexcom is seeking an engineering manager for the R&D Mechanical Engineering Characterization Team. You will lead the development test strategy, metrology tools, and performance testing for wearable CGM devices.

You will integrate characterization across subsystems, manage a team of materials engineers, and collaborate with advanced research, design verification, and operations to deliver reliable products. This role offers visibility to senior management, opportunities to influence product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 8–12 years of industry experience.
• Experience in the medical device industry and high-volume manufacturing.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Experience with multiphysics device testing and polymer materials.
• Track record of delivering technical excellence in R&D environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop test strategy and metrology tools for mechanical engineering.
• Lead characterization and materials team to ensure product reliability.
• Collaborate with R&D, design verification, and operations to mature measurement systems.
• Build relationships with upstream research and downstream product teams.
• Oversee data analysis and test execution for performance testing.
